Waterville council approves water-tower inspection, roof repairs and authorizes listing of Old City Hall

Administrator Teresa Hill presented several infrastructure and asset-management items. The council approved a water-tower inspection bid to assess inside and outside tank condition and to generate repair recommendations; cost items discussed included inspection at $3,836, gasket testing at $100 if needed, and chromium testing at $700 if needed.

Council approved adding protective rock to the third roof section at City Hall at an estimated cost of $4,500–$5,500 after staff reported that one section had been left bare during a combined roof and solar contract. The Council also reviewed preliminary exterior sign sketches by designer Adam Scholljegerdes and asked staff to obtain formal quotes for selected sign options.

Regarding Old City Hall, staff reported no responses to listing RFPs; the council authorized Administrator Hill to obtain RFPs for realtors and proceed with listing options and return to Council either via a special meeting or the next regular meeting for further direction.
