The Calumet City Council voted Nov. 19 to pay $26,881 to the Meyer Group for a facility study, roof design and bid process. Councilmember Dan Strand moved the payment; Barbara Banks seconded and the motion carried.
Councilmembers also discussed the old bank building: an interested buyer who planned to open a coffee shop decided not to purchase the property, so the council agreed to advertise the building for sale and said Sarah Carling can assist with information.
Separately, the council approved a $25 zoning permit for a billboard on city property located by the old bank building. Amanda Hernesman moved the zoning-permit approval and Dan Strand seconded; the motion passed.
No further details on prospective buyers or a timetable for advertising the bank building were provided in the minutes.
