Caledonia Council hires Emily Babcock as liquor store clerk at $13.00 an hour

The Caledonia City Council on Aug. 12 voted unanimously to hire Emily Babcock as the city liquor store clerk at a starting wage of $13.00 per hour.
City Clerk/Administrator Jake Dickson informed the council that one of the recommended candidates was no longer being considered and recommended Emily Babcock for the position. Member Robert “Bob” Klug moved to hire Babcock; Member Ryan Stenzel seconded the motion and the council voted in favor.
The clerk did not specify a start date or additional hiring conditions at the meeting. The hire was recorded as part of New Business and approved by unanimous vote.
