The Swisher City Council approved a Notice of Intent to fill the vacant mayor position by appointment at its Dec. 9, 2024 meeting, voting unanimously on a motion by Council Member Kody Pudil with a second from Adam Roeder.
Separately, on a motion by Curt Cline and seconded by Adam Roeder, the council approved paying Mayor Pro‑Tem Michael Stagg $4.93 per day for each day he performs the mayor’s duties until the vacancy is filled. The roll‑call vote on the stipend was Cline, Hynek, Pudil and Roeder — aye; Stagg — abstain.
