Council unanimously approved Resolution 75‑2024 to authorize Amendment #4 to the HR Green contract for engineering services on the city’s Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project. On the same night, the council approved payment of a $225,283.47 invoice to the Johnson County Secondary Roads Department for construction costs and approved submitting an invoice to Johnson County for $204,475.11 for design and construction engineering fees. All three actions passed on motions by Council Members Kody Pudil and Adam Roeder with unanimous roll‑call votes.
Earlier in the meeting council also approved, by majority, a contingent reimbursement of $121,056.54 related to two properties proposed for annexation; Council Member Daryl Hynek later noted a Swisher City Code requirement that expenditures over $100,000 on a public improvement project require a resolution, and Clerk Shelley Annis said the payment will be placed on the next agenda as a formal resolution.
The approvals advance city obligations and reimbursement processes tied to the Division/120th Street project. Council did not specify a payment schedule or further engineering milestones during the meeting.
