Council Woman Bobbie Greenlee moved to amend the resignation acceptance to be effective May 3 and made the appointment of Wendel Sprung to complete the term. The council also approved holding a special election to fill the remaining two years of the seat (the 2023–24 portion). Mayor Craig Weis approved the motions as recorded.
