Haddonfield commissioners adopt PILOT ordinance for The Place at Haddonfield

During public comment, resident Dave Huehnergarth asked how much the borough is expected to receive under the PILOT. The Borough Administrator said the precise amount "will be determined once the project is completed and the property assessed," and provided an estimate of "$10,000 to $15,000 annually." Affordable Housing Planner Ed Fox reiterated that the final tax impact depends on the completed project’s assessed value.
The hearing drew a few questions but no oppositions recorded on the ordinance vote. Commissioner Troy moved to close the public hearing and adopt the ordinance; the motion was seconded by Mayor Bianco Bezich and approved unanimously.
The ordinance’s adoption does not set a final assessed amount or payment schedule; the borough will confirm tax receipts after the development is complete and assessments are finalized. Next steps discussed included tracking the project’s permitting and assessment timeline through the appropriate reviewing agencies.
