"We've been a positive member of the community," Verna said, and asked commissioners to approve the license so the taproom could open.
No commissioners raised questions during the hearing. The board closed the public hearing, a motion to approve was made and seconded, and the license was approved by a unanimous vote.
The license approved covers on-premises sales of beer, wine and spirits and off-sale privileges for the location listed in the application. No conditions or stipulations were stated on the record during the meeting.
The action follows the board’s established public-hearing process for liquor-license applications; the board may vote immediately after closing a hearing when no public testimony or commissioner questions require further review. The clerk recorded the approval and the matter was concluded at the meeting.
