City engineer reports Wapsi Creek punch-list review; library announces Summer Reading kickoff

City Engineer Dave Schechinger told the council a meeting with the Iowa DNR is scheduled to review punch-list items and completion for the Wapsi Creek widening project. He said Boomerang is finishing punch-list, erosion control and plantings on the Johnson-Cedar Road project and that final documents for the W Main Street improvement are being delivered this week to prepare for construction start.
Library Director Jessie Shaffer said the Summer Reading Program begins the Monday after Memorial Day, with a kickoff party Friday, June 5 at 6:00 p.m. at the library featuring a mobile barnyard, tattoos, treats and crafts. The council received these and other staff reports during the meeting.
