West Branch council approves routine insurance, project pay estimates and appoints new fire chief

Council also approved Resolution 2026-58 to file an application with the Iowa DNR and Resolution 2026-59 to file an application with the Iowa DOT; the minutes do not specify the DOT or DNR programs targeted. The council unanimously approved Resolution 2026-57 appointing Gary Savona as Fire Chief and setting the annual salary; the minutes record the appointment but do not list the salary amount.
