Director Wolf presented Ordinance 2188, which the board considered for waiver of first reading and passage on second reading the same night. He told the board the ordinance lists four retired squad cars that will be retired once replacements enter service and that the village had an opportunity to sell 1,200 residential water meters to a buyer instead of scrapping them. “We were approached by a buyer to sell those [1,200] residential water meters…it's a much better opportunity for the village financially than scrapping them,” Director Wolf said.
The board moved and seconded the ordinance and approved it by roll-call vote, 5-0, adopting the surplus declaration and authorizing disposal per the ordinance. The meeting record shows the vote tally as unanimous; mover/second for the motions were not clearly named on the record.
No additional votes were taken on other ordinances tonight.
