The board approved several contract and agreement items ranging from a real-estate purchase correction to labor and intergovernmental arrangements.
Administration presented an amended purchase agreement for Clermont County Auditor Parcel 260903.225B (229 Front Street in Richmond) that adds language clarifying a small district parcel/easement; the purchase price remained unchanged and the board approved the amendment.
Separately, the board approved renewed shared-service agreements with Felicity-Franklin local schools: a two-year transportation supervision agreement for Luke Cox (with opt-out language) and a one-year fleet-management agreement for assistant transportation director Mr. Gibson. Administration said the agreements include modest rate increases and allow either party to terminate with notice.
The board also moved to terminate the January intergovernmental bus-driver sharing agreement to allow a negotiated rewrite that incorporates union partners and fixes billing and rate structures; the termination was approved so the parties can renegotiate terms with their unions.
On labor matters, the board approved a negotiated agreement with OAPSE (Local 267) after multi-day bargaining. The contract runs three years through June 2029, includes increased financial incentives, an increase in personal leave from two to three days, and an MOU for a sick-bank. Administration attached an Ohio Revised Code 412 certificate to show funds are available for the negotiated items.
All agreements were approved by roll call during the meeting.
