The River Ridge Community Development District Board of Supervisors accepted the resignation of Supervisor James Gilman (Seat 1) at its Aug. 27 meeting.
Cleo Adams presented Mr. Gilman’s resignation letter and the board voted to accept it. Because the vacancy will be filled by appointment (not election), board members agreed management and The Meadows’ property‑owner association manager would e‑blast residents with candidate qualifications and request resumes or letters of interest for consideration at the next meeting.
The minutes note Mr. Gilman represented The Meadows for eight years; management will include sample ethics training and disclosure filing materials, and the board discussed necessary membership obligations and Sunshine Amendment guidance for prospective appointees. The appointment process was deferred to a future agenda for formal candidate consideration.
