Longswamp supervisors approve Swamp Fest entertainment contracts and accept charity ride permit application pending insurance

The Longswamp Township Board of Supervisors on Feb. 11 approved several entertainment and vendor contracts for the 2025 Swamp Fest and accepted a charity cycling event permit application pending required documentation.
The board approved a $800 agreement for Sons of Izzy to perform from 2–5 p.m., a $1,400 agreement for The Large Flower Heads to perform from 6–9 p.m., and a $900 agreement with Martin Bennicoff (dba Rock & Roll Farmer Audio Productions) to provide audio production from 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Supervisor Mike Sacks moved to approve the agreements; Mark Hilbert seconded and the motions passed unanimously. Sacks said he and others will seek sponsors to help offset costs and noted planned activities including a talent show and animal attractions.
The board also accepted a Special Events Permit application for the Monkey Knife Fight Charity Cycling Event scheduled for April 11–13, 2025. The application from Event Director David Pryor was accepted pending receipt of a certificate of insurance and PennDOT approval; the motion to accept the application passed unanimously.
The minutes list event dates and basic contract amounts; they do not record final sponsorship commitments or the outcome of the pending PennDOT review and insurance verification.
