Boerne PFC hears clean audit; approves Aug. 12, 2025 minutes

The Boerne Public Facility Corporation board of directors met June 23 and received a briefing on the PFC’s annual auditors’ report and approved minutes from Aug. 12, 2025.
Sarah Buckley, the meeting’s presenter, told the board the PFC is treated as a blended component unit of the city and that the comprehensive financial report received an unmodified, or "clean," opinion from the firm Whitley Penn. "At 09/30/2025, as of those audited records, there was approximately $3,500,000 in fund balance," Buckley said. She reported interest income and administrative rent due under contract during fiscal year 2026 and said the PFC made three transfers totaling $3,000,000 to the capital improvements fund, leaving the current fund balance at about $600,000.
Before the presentation, Councilman Willison moved to approve the minutes from Aug. 12, 2025; the motion was seconded by Councilman Macaluso and the board approved the minutes in a 6-0 vote. The auditors' report was presented as an informational briefing required by the PFC bylaws and required no formal action that evening.
There were no public comments on the agenda item listed as generator No. 3, and no member raised conflicts of interest during the meeting. The chair adjourned the PFC meeting at 6:03 p.m. and said the city council would reconvene in about five minutes.
