Dayton Summer Rec seeks partnership for bigger events; gazebo live-music, food trucks and ice cream proposed

Brenda Biery, representing the Dayton Summer Rec League, thanked the Town of Dayton Utility Board at the Aug. 20 meeting for permitting food trucks at Town Hall and for the town-sponsored fireworks. Biery asked the board to place Rec League information on the bottom of utility bills and on the town website and proposed partnering with the town for a larger event next year, including a back-to-school bash.
Marc Buhrmester and other board members thanked Biery for attending. Leah Copas said she and Brenda Biery will discuss details and possibly form a committee to coordinate events.
Rachel Wenzel proposed live music at the gazebo, running a food truck and having an ice cream truck at the event. Copas agreed to meet with Wenzel to plan logistics. The minutes record these proposals but do not include dates, budget figures, or final approvals for any event.
No public comments opposed the proposals, and the board recorded no formal vote on the event requests during the Aug. 20 meeting.
