The Village of Homewood on June 23 approved a claims list totaling $1,110,328.25, with two water-related payments comprising the majority of the disbursements.
The clerk told the board that the village’s monthly payment to the city of Chicago Heights for water was $330,000 and that an initial payment for ILLOWA Lane water-main reconstruction was $321,000, together totaling about $651,000 or roughly 59% of the claims list. The board then voted to approve the claims list.
Earlier in the meeting the trustees approved the minutes of the June 9 meeting; Trustees Harris Jones and Roman abstained from that vote, while the other trustees voted in favor.
No public comment was recorded on the claims list. The approval came as part of the regular consent and claims process; no additional conditions or follow-up tasks were announced during the meeting.
The board adjourned following routine announcements about upcoming community events.
