"The police feel this will cause problems with the school buses not being able to make the turns once the signs are installed," Mayor Crain said, explaining the department's concern about bus maneuverability if stop signs are placed at that intersection. Council members, the mayor and police discussed the issue and agreed to work on a better plan rather than immediately installing the signs.
No formal traffic-calming alternative was recorded in the minutes; attendees and council members indicated interest in finding a solution that addresses resident safety concerns while accounting for school-bus routing constraints.
