Resident invites locals to First Families exhibit at Water Carnival

At the Hoyt Lakes council meeting, resident Jim Mully invited residents to visit a First Families recognition display and asked attendees to fill out family information cards at the Water Carnival booth to help document family clusters for the town's anniversary projects.
During the guest citizens forum, resident Jim Mully (502 Hampshire Drive) presented a large map and invited community members to visit the First Families recognition booth at the upcoming Water Carnival.
"I'm representing the her family recognition team ... we're going to have people come down ... we're going to ask that you fill in a little information card put your name and address and your family name to the right on the platform so everybody will be able to here," Mully said, describing how volunteers will collect family information and cluster households for a town anniversary project.
Staff and council encouraged residents, especially newer arrivals, to take part and noted the First Families booth will sit near other local historical displays. Mully said additional updates will be shared at the senior center and thanked volunteers and the chamber for their support.
The remarks were delivered during the public-comment portion of the meeting; the council proceeded to routine staff reports and new-business items after public comment concluded.
