Council approves consent agenda, parade security funding amendment and routine items

The Enumclaw City Council completed a set of routine approvals at its June 22 meeting: minutes from the June 8 meeting were approved, the consent agenda passed, and Resolution No. 1881 — an amendment to the Chamber of Commerce provision-of-service agreement to allocate $15,000 for July 4 parade security — was approved by voice vote.

Parks Director Lina Hicks outlined the recommended spending breakdown for Resolution 1881: of the $15,000 previously authorized by council, $8,500 would fund parade-route barriers, $2,500 would cover overtime for six additional city staff, and $4,000 would be allocated to the Chamber for hiring security and event staffing. Staff recommended approval and council approved the resolution by voice vote.
