The Planning Board set a public hearing for June 15 on a site-plan application to install a 29.48-kilowatt roof-mounted photovoltaic array at 4 Toms Way submitted by Scott Amoroso and represented by Scott Ference of Kasselman Solar LLC.
Ference presented the project via Zoom and described the array placement; board members noted the house is set well back from the road and that panels placed on the east roof slope would not be visible from the road. Planning consultant Ted Fink said the parcel is adjacent to a National Historic Landmark District and lies within the Coastal Zone, and therefore a coastal assessment form will be required as part of the review.
Ariadne Montare made the motion to set the public hearing; the motion passed unanimously. The board will take public comment at the June 15 meeting and will consider coastal assessment and visibility issues as part of its site-plan review.
