County staff asked commissioners to approve the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) FY27 funding plan that will allocate $940,852 to eight organizations across 15 programs aimed at reducing and preventing juvenile crime.
Will Fulbright, a budget analyst, said Forsyth County receives pass-through dollars from the North Carolina Department of Public Safety and that the JCPC met on June 1 and approved the recommended plan. The county must review and approve the plan before the funds can be submitted to the state and programs implemented locally.
Fulbright said staff would be happy to answer questions about program recipients and program descriptions; commissioners had no substantive follow-up in the briefing. The item was placed on the packet for formal approval at the upcoming board meeting.
