Council hears new pay schedule; HR says minimum police starting salary raised to $60,000

City manager/HR lead (identified in the hearing as Miss Frasier) told council the minimum starting salary for police was raised to $60,000 as a product of the study and that employees had been briefed. "This is something that you all do every three to five years; it's been six years since we did the last pay study," staff said.
Council members thanked HR for the work and agreed to place the resolution on the April 6 consent agenda. Staff said further details and implementation steps will appear in the consent packet.
