Representatives elect new chair and senator chosen as vice chair of LBO oversight commission
Summary
At the Sept. 3 oversight meeting, members elected Representative Nure as chair and Senator Eric Pratt as vice chair by roll call; minutes from Oct. 16, 2023 were approved by voice vote with two abstentions.
The Legislative Budget Office Oversight Commission elected Representative Nure as chair and Senator Eric Pratt as vice chair during its Sept. 3 meeting.
Representative Patty Anderson nominated Representative Nure for chair; Representative Nure accepted the nomination. The clerk reported eight votes in support, and the commission confirmed the election.
Senator Gary Dames nominated Senator Eric Pratt for vice chair. Senator Pratt accepted and the clerk again reported eight votes in favor.
Earlier in the meeting the commission approved the minutes from its Oct. 16, 2023 meeting by voice vote; two members stated they would abstain because they were not present for that prior meeting.
Both leadership positions take effect immediately and will guide commission planning ahead of the next legislative session.
