Board hears final design changes for parking lot project; bid and award dates set

Design changes discussed included surfacing choices, added curbing, leaving some crushed asphalt onsite for the baseball field, and shaping the treatment pond and southern slopes to return to native grass to reduce future maintenance. The board discussed leaving the creek ground and south-side slopes to grow more naturally and asked that a biology teacher be allowed to develop controlled native-plantings for instructional use.
Josh and other members noted the project has no further phasing, and the board expects construction to move forward once bids and award actions are completed.
