City staff brief council on 2025 drinking water quality report; two reporting violations noted and corrected

Henderson told the council the only violations recorded in the report were two reporting violations related to lead-and-copper sampling notifications because some addresses were listed as unknown during a staffing/management change and the notifications were not mailed on schedule. "We did have two...reporting violations, which was for lead and copper...the addresses that were unknown...in the change of management, we didn't get the right dates," Henderson said, and he added the notification procedure has been corrected for the current year.
A resident in the audience offered thanks to Henderson and city staff for maintaining safe drinking water and said the service is appreciated. Councilmembers asked clarifying questions; no further corrective actions were taken at the meeting beyond the procedural fixes described by staff.
What happens next: Henderson said staff will continue routine sampling and reporting and that the city has notified the appropriate regulatory agencies as required by the reporting rules. The council did not take additional action at the meeting.
