The Northville Public Schools Board of Education adopted a new consolidated policy manual developed with Trune Policy and legal counsel after a year of review by board subcommittees and staff.
Trustee Frazier presented the resolution to repeal and replace the district’s existing policy library with the Trune Policy system, a comprehensive package that the board and administration said will modernize and standardize policy language across roughly 268 policies and more than 700 pages of packet materials. "The board took a look at the vendors in the market…and the board chose Trune Policy," said Miss Peck, summarizing the process and the scope of staff and board review.
Board members credited extensive subcommittee work, legal review and cross‑departmental input. The manual will be implemented alongside updated administrative procedures and a refreshed student handbook that aligns with the new policies.
A roll‑call vote recorded unanimous approval for motion 129. Administrators said the district will proceed to develop corresponding administrative procedures and update handbooks to reflect the new policy framework.
