The Waukesha City Plan Commission on May 27 approved a minor site plan and architectural review for INEO to renovate the main entrance at 1101 West Saint Paul.
Staff described the proposal as replacing the current confusing dual‑door entry with a single prominent glass curtain wall entrance framed by metal paneling rising to about 22 feet. The plan includes an ADA ramp option, relocation of three flagpoles away from the doorway, and a future signage band that will require separate sign permits. The building does not meet the 25‑foot setback along Saint Paul; the applicant earlier received a dimensional variance from the board of zoning appeals allowing the work within the reduced setback.
Commissioners praised the design and moved to approve the minor site plan with city comments to be addressed and standard sign permits to follow. Staff noted sign permits will be required before any new signage is installed and that engineering and other city comments must be addressed before permits are issued.
