Long Prairie council approves hires, temporary liquor license, legal services contract and county road change order

At its January 16 meeting the Long Prairie City Council approved a routine slate of hires, licenses and contracts, and approved a county road change order.
The council approved hiring Ian Sanchez as Assistant Liquor Store Manager at a starting wage of $19.20 per hour (step 1). The council also approved hiring Harley Van Ruler and Jeffrey Koehn as part‑time ice rink staff at $15.00 per hour (step 1).
The Todd County Ag Society’s request for a temporary liquor license for Jan. 20 was approved, as was a 2024 legal services contract with Quinlivan and Hughes.
Council member Jim Kreemer moved and Council member Clint Krueger seconded approval of change order #9 for the CSAH 56 and CSAH 38 road projects in the amount of $17,142; the motion passed.
