Long Prairie council approves sale of East Acres Estates lot to Jamie and Andrea Flan for $2,900

The Long Prairie City Council on Nov. 20 approved Resolution No. 23-11-20-26 authorizing the sale of Lot 2, Block 1, East Acres Estates (PID 36-4014600) to Jamie and Andrea Flan for $2,900.
Applicant Jamie Flan told the council the purchase would allow creation of a through road from 9th Street NE to 4th Avenue NE to access parcel 36-402000 and would support future residential development of portions of that parcel. Council member Jim Kreemer moved to approve the sale; Council member Clint Krueger seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The resolution cites Minn. Stat. §412.211 as authority for the sale, sets the sale price at $2,900 and specifies that seller and buyer will pay their respective closing costs as provided in the purchase agreement. It also authorizes the mayor and city administrator to execute any documents necessary to complete closing.
The council took no additional conditions in the meeting minutes; the sale will proceed under the terms of the accepted purchase agreement.
