During the public-comment portion of the Board of Public Works and Safety meeting on April 6, resident Tom Abbot of 819 Woodland Drive presented a petition containing more than 150 names protesting recent water rate increases.
Abbot delivered the petition to the board; Mayor Chad Frank responded that the board had approved the rate increase at the previous meeting, noting, "we approved the rate increase at the last meeting." The board did not take further action on the petition during this session.
