Crawfordsville board approves contracts, agreements and event permits including Purple Heart Parkway work

At its March 11 meeting the Crawfordsville Board of Public Works and Public Safety approved several contracts, interlocal agreements and event permits, including work tied to the Purple Heart Parkway extension.
Nichole Zick’s request to place a dumpster at 311 Russell Avenue beginning March 16 for 10 days was approved after an affirmative motion by Erin Corbin, seconded by Susan Albrecht. Earlier the board also approved Gary Isenberg’s request to place a dumpster at 126 E. Main Street beginning March 13 for two weeks.
The board approved a renewal agreement with Abbott Controls for HVAC control services at Fusion 54 in the amount of $2,638. The minutes record the approval motion moved by Susan Albrecht and seconded by Erin Corbin.
Multiple items related to the Purple Heart Parkway extension also moved forward. The board approved an agreement between the City, the County and property owners Phillip and Nancy Snyder for construction of the extension from State Road 231 South to Ladoga Road, and approved a separate City-County agreement addressing stormwater flow tied to that construction. The board further approved a contract with Price Excavating for project work in the amount of $26,750.87.
Separately, the board granted a permit for a 5K run proposed by Iron Smith Gym on April 25 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Traction Road. Each of these items was recorded as approved in the meeting minutes.
Following the approvals the board completed department reports and adjourned.
