At its Feb. 5 meeting the Taylor Town Council took the following formal actions:
- Consent agenda (meeting minutes of Jan. 8, 2026; January 2026 check register) — Motion by Vice Mayor Bill Baldwin, second by April Williams; approved unanimously.
- Request by Jared Hatch to purchase portion of Maverick Lane right-of-way — Motion by Jason Brubaker to deny the request and invite a revised proposal; second by Lynn Dewitt; motion passed 6–1. No individual roll-call names for the dissenting vote were recorded in the minutes.
- Ordinance O2026-01 (first reading) to amend Title 8, Chapter 8.20 to allow special-event alcohol permits on town property — Motion to table by Jason Brubaker; second by April Williams; ordinance tabled (no ordinance change adopted).
