Town Manager Gus Lundberg told the council a building permit is expected by June, and staff recommended an extension through July 15 with a $25,000 nonrefundable deposit; the existing $10,000 escrow remains refundable if the project fails. Council Member Lynn Dewitt moved to accept the extension request; Council Member Chris Neff seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
The extension gives the prospective buyer additional time to secure permits while providing the town with a nonrefundable deposit that the council and staff said helps ensure the project advances toward completion.
