Mantorville council adopts 2024 levy, raises water and sewer rates

As part of the budget actions, the council approved a 2% increase to monthly water and sewer rates and adopted Resolution No. 2023-35 to set the following 2024 rates: water base $19.70 (was $19.31), water usage $4.90 (was $4.80), sewer base $36.50 (was $35.78), sewer usage $8.62 (was $8.45). Council documents record the votes as 4 ayes, 0 nays; Councilmember Greg Rud was absent.
Councilmembers framed the changes as part of routine budget-setting and utility-rate maintenance; no public hearing items were pending that night. The council approved the enterprise budget for 2024 on the same tally.
