Ambulance Director Joey Busse and EMT Shannon Meier said they have developed an internal team (Joey, Shannon and Evan) to log on-call hours and reduce administrative burden at City Hall. They asked the council to stop deducting on-call time for runs answered while on call because of the tracking challenges. The council did not adopt a change at the meeting; members asked staff to present the fiscal impact of the proposed change after one year of the existing on-call pay arrangement and tabled the request for a future meeting.
No vote or ordinance was adopted on the request during the Jan. 12 meeting; the matter remains under consideration pending a budget review.
