Wyoming State Bar appoints Scott Kolpitcke as Fifth Judicial District Commissioner

The Wyoming State Bar Board of Officers and Commissioners appointed Scott Kolpitcke on Oct. 15, 2025, to serve as the Fifth Judicial District Commissioner for the remainder of the current term, the board said at a meeting held via Zoom.
Vice President Jennifer L. Kirk said she knew the four lawyers who had expressed interest in the seat and that she "does not have any concerns about any of them," then provided an overview of each candidate and where they reside within the judicial district. Executive Director Sharon Wilkinson clarified that the appointee will serve the remainder of Kirk’s term, which ends in September 2026, and that the appointee may run for a full term thereafter.
After discussion, Commissioner Kevin Kessner moved to appoint Scott Kolpitcke; Commissioner Jason Petri seconded the motion. "The motion carried," the minutes state. The transcript does not record a roll‑call vote or a numerical tally.
