Calhoun County supervisors approve equipment purchases and allow claims totaling multiple large vendor payments

The Calhoun County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved multiple routine items and several capital purchases during its July 9, 2024 meeting at the Calhoun County Courthouse in Rockwell City.
The board accepted a $69,796 quote from Ziegler for a 2024 Caterpillar compact track loader for Secondary Roads (motion by Scott Jacobs, seconded by Scott Becker; Ayes all). The board also approved a $17,000 purchase of a 2023 16-foot trailer from Trailer World LLC. The minutes do not specify the funding source for these purchases.
During claims review the board allowed an itemized set of vendor payments and bank drafts.
