Fifth Judicial District commissioner resigns; Board to appoint replacement

Commissioner Jennifer L. Kirk announced her resignation as Fifth Judicial District Commissioner at the Sept. 19 Board meeting after being elected Vice President of the Wyoming State Bar. Executive Director Sharon Wilkinson told the Board that the resignation triggers a 30-day period in which the Board must appoint a replacement to serve the remainder of Kirk’s term, which expires in September 2026.
Wilkinson said she would solicit expressions of interest from active members of the Fifth Judicial District and had scheduled a Zoom meeting in October for the Board to consider and make the appointment.
