The Wyoming State Bar Board considered a proposal to build a separate, static website for the Office of Bar Counsel (OBC) but voted Aug. 22 not to fund the project at the quoted $16,400 price.
Executive Director Sharon Wilkinson presented revised bids from the Bar’s web vendor, Gannett Peak, and said the original estimate of $27,200 had later been revised to $16,400 for a static site. Vice President Alison O. Gee and some Board members supported a separate site to clarify the separation between disciplinary functions and other Bar activities. Bar Counsel Mark W. Gifford and members of staff warned that a separate site could confuse members of the public who contact Bar services and that redesigning the existing disciplinary pages might better serve users.
Vice President Gee moved to approve funding for the new site at the $16,400 quote; President‑Elect Silva seconded. The motion failed. Treasurer Kelly M. Neville recommended pursuing a redesign of the current disciplinary pages on the Bar website and directed staff to explore options with Gannett Peak.
