Board appoints Kelly M. Neville as Wyoming State Bar delegate to ABA
Summary
The Board voted unanimously to appoint Treasurer Kelly M. Neville as the Bar Delegate to the American Bar Association after discussion about optics and other candidates.
Vice President Alison O. Gee moved to appoint Kelly M. Neville as the Wyoming State Bar’s Bar Delegate to the American Bar Association; Commissioner Clayton M. Melinkovich seconded the motion and the Board approved it unanimously on Sept. 19.
Board members discussed the optics of choosing a current Board member, referenced other candidates who had expressed interest, and received an explanation from Executive Director Sharon Wilkinson and Commissioner Dona Playton about the difference between the Bar Delegate and the ABA State Delegate. The minutes note that Judge Bluemel’s State Delegate seat will be vacant in one year and that he will no longer be eligible to serve in that role.
