Recorder Jackie McPherron and Stephen Capps requested a book scanner be declared surplus for sale; the board declared it surplus and set the minimum sale price at $2,000. Capps reported scanning of records is complete except for making minutes OCR searchable and uploading them to the county website.
Clerk Amy Kippenbrock requested permission to replace furniture in the Clerk's office using the Clerk's Perpetuation fund and said she will request an additional appropriation of $25,000 from the County Council; commissioners approved the replacement pending County Council funding approval and asked Kippenbrock to prepare a list of items that will become surplus.
On Veteran Services Office staffing, the board reviewed prior requests to increase the VSO to full time, add two part‑time assistant VSO positions and increase space/storage. The consensus was to research changing the VSO to full‑time status, not to hire more staff immediately, and to seek storage space in the annex. A revised remote work policy and a Comprehensive Plan RFP were both tabled for future meetings.
