Dubois County accepts low bids for H.E.L.P. owner‑occupied rehab projects; John Collins bids incomplete

At the Dec. 2 meeting, the Dubois County commissioners reviewed and awarded contracts for the H.E.L.P. Owner Occupied Rehabilitation (OOR) program. Bids were opened at 8:45 a.m.; Jenny Matheis of the Indiana 15 Regional Planning Commission attended and later will prepare contracts for the successful bidders.
Commission staff reported several bids from John Collins Contracting were incomplete and therefore were not recommended. The board accepted the low qualified bids for each listed homeowner — the recommended awards were primarily to T&T Roofing and Gogel Roofing across the various properties — and the motion to accept the low bids was made, seconded, and carried unanimously. Commissioner Chad A. Blessinger will sign the resulting contracts on behalf of the county.
The minutes include specific dollar amounts read for each homeowner bid (examples include $8,134.00 for Bradley and $3,334.00 for Egg under T&T Roofing). The next set of bids for the OOR program is due Jan. 6, 2025.
