Board Chair Charlie Potts called the meeting to order at 5:02 p.m. and the Board unanimously adopted the agenda. On a motion by Ken Rossow and seconded by Kate Martens, the Board approved the consent agenda. The consent items included approval of prior meeting minutes, payment of $4,738,313.45 in bills and wire transfers for April 2026, and awarding a Saint Peter High School diploma to Cameron Shoop.
The consent vote also authorized quarter‑1, 2 and 3 overload assignment payments for specialist teachers at South and North Elementary schools and approved hiring a list of new staff, accepted retirements (Bee Ong and Jerry Doyle), accepted several resignations, approved the non‑renewal of Naomi Wolfe and approved an internal transfer for Corie Walters. The consent motion carried unanimously.
The Board recognized High School senior and 2026 class president Quinn DeBlieck as the Student Spotlight; DeBlieck plans to attend South Dakota State University to study construction management.
The meeting adjourned at 6:12 p.m.
