Lenox council adopts 2024 Urban Revitalization Plan update and restated 2023 Urban Renewal Plan

The Lenox City Council unanimously adopted Resolution 24‑41 approving the Lenox 2024 Urban Revitalization Plan update and Resolution 24‑42 adopting the 2023 Restated and Amended Urban Renewal Plan; officials said the last revitalization plan was updated in 2008 and the renewal plan does not include Agrivision.
The Lenox City Council on Oct. 14 adopted two planning resolutions intended to update the city’s redevelopment guidance. Councilmember Tull opened a public hearing on the proposed 2024 Urban Revitalization Plan update; no public comments were received. After discussion the council approved Resolution 24‑41 adopting the Lenox 2024 Urban Revitalization Plan by roll call vote.
The council also approved Resolution 24‑42 adopting the 2023 Restated and Amended Urban Renewal Plan. City Administrator Allison Kitzman noted the last revitalization plan update occurred in 2008 and stated that the restated urban renewal plan does not include Agrivision. Both resolutions passed on unanimous roll call votes.
Council minutes record no public testimony at the hearings and provide that the updates incorporate recent annexations and other administrative changes.
