The Lenox City Council voted Oct. 14 to award a three‑year independent contractor agreement for the operation of Three Lake Municipal Golf Course to Front 9, LLC for $54,000. City Administrator Allison Kitzman reported the bid and Councilmember Cruz moved to approve the contract; the motion was seconded by Councilmember Tull and passed with all members voting in favor.
At the same meeting the council handled a bundle of routine business. Members approved Beggars Night for Oct. 31 from 5–8 p.m. and granted three Class C five‑day alcohol licenses for community‑center events: a “Luck Wife Wine Slushies” class and two Dally Post events including a PTO trivia night. Councilmember Hodges moved the Beggars Night motion; subsequent permit motions were made and seconded and were recorded as carried by unanimous voice vote.
Councilmember Tull moved to change the regular November meeting from Nov. 11 to Nov. 12 because Nov. 11 is Veterans Day; the motion passed. The council also approved Resolution 24‑43 appointing Matt Hanson to continue as the city’s abatement attorney. All of these actions were recorded as passing with unanimous votes.
The meeting’s consent business also included approval of the meeting agenda, the Sept. 23 minutes, payment of bills and the September Clerk/Treasurer report. These items were approved by voice vote at the start of the meeting.
