Dayton council approves BF&S recommendations and task orders for subdivision review and development standards

On March 17, 2026 the Town of Dayton Council accepted a suite of engineering recommendations and authorized task orders from BF&S Civil Engineers related to local development projects.
Christopher Limiac of BF&S presented the firm’s review of the Dunbar Electric plan; the council voted 4–0 to accept BF&S’s recommendations. The council then approved a task order for a development‑plan submittal and drainage review for the proposed Heartland Estates subdivision (also called Baker Farms West), a 48‑acre site west of Baker Farms, with a cost not to exceed $12,500. Council also approved a separate BF&S task order to update the town’s Development Guide & Standards, with a cost not to exceed $23,900.
BF&S provided budget-level water-main loop cost estimates and an alternative pricing schedule if the town procures loop extensions as a single contract rather than phased sections. BF&S recommended the council consult the Grant Administrator, and Council President Marc Buhrmester said he will reach out to Shannon (the Grant Administrator) and report findings at the next meeting.
All task orders and the acceptance of BF&S recommendations were approved by recorded votes of 4–0 in the minutes.
