The City of Logan council approved a bid from Ten Point Construction for street repairs, authorized a street closure for a July 4 parade, and handled two retail alcohol license renewals during its April 6, 2026 meeting.
Council Member Hinkel moved and Council Member Moss seconded approval of the Ten Point Construction bid for street repairs; the motion passed with 5 ayes. Later, Council Member Sporrer moved and Council Member Moss seconded approval to close 7th Street from Maple Avenue to 4th Avenue on July 4, 2026 for a parade; that motion passed with 5 ayes. A separate request to close 4th Avenue from 7th Street to 6th Street on June 6 for Village Green Day was discussed but tabled to the next meeting to consider alternatives, because Space in Logan has an event the same morning.
On licenses, Council Member Hinkel moved and Council Member Sporrer seconded to renew the Class C Retail Alcohol License for the Taproom 1890/Logan Flours Baking Co.; the motion passed 5–0. The council also approved renewal of a Class C Retail Alcohol License with Outdoor Service for The Boneyard on the condition that dram insurance is approved; the clerk noted the dram insurance had not been approved at the time of the meeting.
No owner statements or public comments on the license items were recorded in the minutes.
