The City of Logan council set a public hearing on the FY26/27 proposed budget for April 20, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. and approved a claims register totaling $184,464.20 during its April 6, 2026 meeting.
Council Member Hinkel moved, and Council Member Moss seconded, to schedule the budget hearing and order publication of the notice; the motion passed by a recorded vote of 5 ayes. The same meeting approved the consent agenda, which included approval of the claims register and the Treasurer’s and revenue reports.
The claims register identified several large items: a payment to HARR CO SHERIFF OFFICE for April–June 2026 of $51,375.00; purchase of a community center generator from Powertech, LLC for $43,810.00; VEENSTRA & KIMM, INC. water plant design for $13,509.00; and Certified Testing Service WT Plant soil bore for $2,880.00. The minutes list fund totals as General Fund $131,498.64; Water Plant Capital Project Fund $16,411.00; Water Fund $14,121.92; Sewer Fund $8,276.04; Road Use Fund $7,222.29; Library Fund $4,619.15; Employee Benefit Fund $2,315.16.
