State Representative Cindy Golding spoke to the Lisbon City Council on Aug. 11, 2025, about her campaign for reelection, according to the meeting minutes.
City Engineer Dave Schechinger told the council he is assisting an Alliant Energy project to ensure ADA compliance on sidewalk replacements and is monitoring the Elite Stone project. Public Works Director Travis Bagby reported department activities including line painting, Sauerkraut Days preparation, a pool closure from Wednesday through Sunday, ditch mowing, brush pickup, lab/DNR issues and deployment of the street sweeper beginning the next day.
Parks & Recreation Director Drayton Kamberling outlined Sauerkraut Days programming, including a scavenger hunt, movie in the park, a slow-pitch tournament, fall sports registrations and a back-to-school event scheduled for Aug. 20; he also noted the school was organizing a fundraiser for maintenance upgrades to Bunting Field. City Administrator Brandon Siggins updated the council that the fire department and volunteers are preparing for Sauerkraut Days, streets will be washed on Wednesday and bathtub-race preparations are underway; he also reported that the Elite Stone agreement is complete and that the watermain project is finished, thanking Public Works for in-house work and cost savings.
Mayor Doug O’Connor adjourned the meeting at 7:32 p.m. The minutes record thanks to volunteers and staff for efforts related to the community’s 150th anniversary and Sauerkraut Days events.
